Jett-Seal
Inc. is a certified duct diagnostic and sealing provider through
Aeroseal.
The Aeroseal sealing
technology was invented in 1994 by Dr. Mark Modera, a scientist
at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, a campus of the University
of California in Berkeley. The research was funded by the U.S.
Department of Energy, U.S. EPA, California Institute for Energy
Efficiency, and the Electric Power Research Institute. Patents
for the Aeroseal sealing technology were issued in 1996 and1999.
Aeroseal was incorporated
in March 1996 and began licensing the duct improvement technology
through franchises in January 1999. In August, 2001, Carrier Corporation,
a United Technologies company, acquired Aeroseal.
Carrier Aeroseal LLC
now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Carrier Corporation
and continues to be promoted under its registered trade name Aeroseal.
Its headquarters are in Indianapolis, IN.
